چکیده

Abstract This work addresses a simple method to functionalize graphene oxide with sodium carboxymethyl cellulose using tetraethyl orthosilicate as linker for rapid and significant removal of Nd(III) Ce(III) from aqueous solutions. The prepared composite (GO–CMC) was characterized by different techniques confirm the modification adsorption process. sorption performance GO–CMC evaluated absorbent materials. experimental results demonstrated that process excellently fitted pseudo-second-order kinetic model. were also analyzed isotherm models. According Langmuir model, capacities at pH 3.0 661.21 436.55 mg/g Ce(III), respectively. thermodynamic indicated two examined metal ions endothermic spontaneous. regenerated has similar percentage original composite. These confirmed could be used an effective adsorbent certain multielement

Adsorption of Heavy Metals by Graphene Oxide/Cellulose Hydrogel Prepared from NaOH/Urea Aqueous Solution

By taking advantage of cellulose, graphene oxide (GO), and the process for crosslinking using epichlorohydrin (ECH), we propose a simple and novel method to prepare GO/cellulose hydrogel with good potential to adsorb metal ions. GO nanosheets containing carboxyl and hydroxyl groups were introduced into the surface of the cellulose hydrogel with retention of the gel structure and its nanoporous ...

The Removal of Lead (ii) Ions from Aqueous Solutions by Acid-activated Clay Modified with Sodium Carboxymethyl Cellulose

The suitability of clay modified with sodium carboxymethyl cellulose was tested for the removal of Pb 2+ from aqueous solutions. The effect of pH on the adsorption process was investigated in the pH range from 1 to 9. Tests were conducted at different temperatures: 20 °C, 30 °C, 40 °C, 50 °C and 60 °C. The effect of initial concentration of adsorbate on lead removal was analysed using solutions...
